Colombo Additional Magistrate Nuwan Kaushalya yesterday (15) ordered the Criminal Investigation Department’s Illegal Assets Investigation Division to obtain a government analyst’s report on the quality standards of whitening creams produced and distributed across the country by a company owned by model Piumi Hansamali.

The order was issued following an investigation launched by the CID into Hansamali’s assets. The CID had sought court permission to conduct further inquiries into the company’s products and related financial matters.
