An individual named Sanjaya Bandara has sent a letter of demand through his attorneys, seeking Rs 100 million in damages from actress Madhavee Anthony over an allegedly defamatory Facebook post.

According to the letter, on 6 October 2025, Madhavee Anthony had published a post on her Facebook account featuring a photograph of Sanjaya Bandara, while claiming that she had reported his Facebook account for being that of an “inhuman political extremist” and a “child abuser.”

The letter states that these statements are baseless, false, and misleading, and have caused severe mental distress and humiliation to Bandara and his family, in addition to damaging his reputation.

Accordingly, she has been requested to pay Rs 100 million in compensation within seven days. The letter further warns that if she fails to do so, legal action will be instituted to recover the said amount along with legal costs.
