Bribery Probe: Mahindananda Aluthgamage Remanded

Former Agriculture Minister Mahindananda Aluthgamage has been remanded until the 26th of this month by order of the Colombo Chief Magistrate’s Court.

This follows the issuance of an arrest warrant on 16 May by the Colombo Chief Magistrate’s Court, allowing the Bribery Commission to take him into custody in connection with alleged irregularities in the importation of Chinese fertiliser during the previous government.
