The Court of Appeal issued an open warrant for the arrest and production before court of Bodu Bala Sena General Secretary Galagoda Aththe Gnanasara Thera, who had been sentenced to imprisonment for contempt of court.
The court also imposed a travel ban preventing him from leaving the country.
It directed that the Controller of Immigration and Emigration be informed of the travel ban and that the open arrest warrant be executed through the Inspector General of Police.
