Colombo Magistrate Pasan Amarasena has issued notices directing 10 doctors appointed to the medical board assessing Suresh Sallay to appear before court on 6 October.
The Magistrate issued the order after considering submissions made by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) through a motion.
The doctors had previously recommended that Sallay remain at the National Hospital for treatment until 28 September.
As the recommended treatment period has now expired, the court issued notices directing the doctors to appear and provide information regarding the next course of action.
