The Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC) has announced that individuals who failed to submit their declarations of assets and liabilities by the stipulated deadline will be given an opportunity to explain the delay before administrative fines are imposed.

According to the Commission, administrative fines must legally be imposed under the Anti-Corruption Act No. 9 of 2023 on declarations submitted between July 1 and August 31, after the June 30 deadline.

However, the Commission has granted time until September 30 to provide explanations for the delay. Those who fail to submit an explanation by that date will be subject to administrative fines.
