Heroin carrier Cat remains unharmed in Prison premises

The cat that had a heroin packet tied around its neck and captured by the Prison officers at the Welikada Magazine Prison on Saturday, remains unharmed in the prison premises, a prison officials said.
The Prisons Commissioner (operations) Chandana Ekanayaka said that the cat was there inside the prison premises roaming freely.
The cat was captured by the prison officials with two packets of heroin weighing 1g and 2mg in a small bag along with two SIM cards and a memory chip.
The heroin and other items have been handed over to the Borella Police for further investigations.
