Elections Commission Chairman Mahinda Deshapriya announced today that the overall voter turnout for the General Election 2020 stood at 71 per cent.

Addressing a press conference after the conclusion of the election he said that there was no violence but only election violations. He also said that the first result could be announced by 2.30 pm tomorrow (6).
