Daham Sirisena's friends violate rules at wildlife parks

September 07, 2020

Photographs circulating on Facebook indicate that former President Maithripala Sirisena's son, Daham Sirisena and his friends are acting in violation of some the rules widely accepted and adhered to at national wildlife parks.

In one of the pictures, a friend of young Sirisena is seen posing near his safari jeep while inside the Kaudulla National Park.

Local and foreign visitors are strictly advised not to get off their vehicle while inside the park as a safety precaution. Safari guides are also advised to ensure that visitors adhere to the rules and exercise caution.

However, the pictures circulating on Facebook indicate a clear violation of these safety precautions that are adhered to by everyone else. This does not seem to apply to the friends of Daham Sirisena, however.
