Health Ministry Says No Scientific Evidence To Prove That COVID19 Can Be Transmitted Through Well-Cooked Food

The Health Ministry said there was no scientific evidence that COVID19 can be transmitted through well-cooked fish.

"But since virus can be found on surfaces, face must not be touched while preparing and utensils used must be washed with soap after," the Ministry said in a statement.

It also added that there was no basis for closing fish markets at the moment, so long as health measures (social distance, face masks, hand washing) are adhered to.
