The Prime Minister’s Office today rejected rumours that a member of the PM’s security detail had contracted COVID19.

The Prime Minister's office said the patient was an officer attached to an external security unit.

It added the officer was only tasked to provide security to outdoor events attended by the Prime Minister.

The statement said the officer concerned had not reported to work since Oct. 17.
