Cash And Goods Stolen From Hatton Fish Market By Municipal Workers Tasked To Disinfect Premises

The Hatton Dickoya Municipal Council employees who had come yesterday (06) to disinfect a fish market in Hatton had stolen a large amount of cash and goods from the fish market.

The market had been closed due to the discovery of an infected person infected with the Covid 19 virus

They had broken into the cash counter of the fish market and stolen Rs. 37,000 in cash, around Rs. 50,000 worth of chilli powder, several bottles of coconut oil and a stock of newspapers.

Employees of the shop had been subjected to self-quarantine by the health authorities.
