November 10, 2020

11 year old Georgia with Sri Lankan origins won the Junior MasterChef Australia Final.

She chose to make traditional Sri Lankan curries throughout the competition and won the praise of the judges for her culinary skills.

Having started the competition as one of 14 gourmet prodigies, the three finalitz, including Georgia, were asked to create a main and a dessert for the Grand Final.

For her main, Georgia chose to showcase her Sri Lankan heritage, and whip up an ambitious six-element main course. Impressed by how much she’d achieved in only 90 minutes, the judges were blown away by Georgia’s curries.

Georgia and her mother were overjoyed to learn that the Junior MasterChef Australia title was Georgia’s. She also was awarded $25,000 in prize money.
