Person Arrested In Borella For Recording Movements Of Pakistani PM Imran Khan's Convoy For Facebook Livestream

February 25, 2021

A person who recorded the movements of the vehicle convoy of visiting Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan for a Facebook livestream has been arrested in Borella yesterday.

The suspect has been identified as a mechanical worker in the private sector and a resident of Colombo.

The police said the suspect was arrested as his behaviour posed a threat to the security of the Pakistani Prime Minister — the first head of state to visit Sri Lanka since the outbreak of the pandemic. Further police investigations are underway.

The Pakistani Prime Minister left Sri Lanka yesterday ending his two-day visit to the island nation.
