Presidential Commission Report On Easter Sunday Attacks To Be Discussed At National Security Council

The Presidential Commission of Inquiry report on Easter Sunday report will be submitted to the National Security Council chaired by President Gotabhaya Rajapaksa.

At the security council, the President and the other key figures of the defence establishment will decide how each establishment will undertake the implementation of the recommendations included in the PCOI report, informed government sources said.

The conduct of the National Security Council under previous government has also come under criticism in the PCOI report.

A ministerial committee, headed by Minister Chamal Rajapaksa, has also been appointed to study the content of the report and make recommendations to the government.

Meanwhile, copies of the commission report have been presented to several religious leaders including the Mahanayake Theras and Colombo Archbishop Cardinal Malcolm Ranjith.
