A group of Seethawaka Pradeshiya Sabha members have attacked the Chairman of the Padukka Development Committee, MP Jagath Kumara.

During the meeting of the Development Committee, an argument had taken place between the Chairman of the Development Committee, Jagath Kumara and the members of the Seethawaka Pradeshiya Sabha.

The PS members have accused the Parliamentarian of acting in a despotic manner without taking into consideration the issues faced by LG councillors.

Following the incident, the MP was escorted out of the premises under police protection.

While the MP was leaving the premises, the LG members had jeered and thrown eggs at him.
