Special Security Plan Put In Place Across The Country As Sri Lanka Marks 2nd Year Of Deadly Easter Sunday Attacks

Police Media Spokesman DIG Ajith Rohana stated that a special security plan has been put in place island wide on the 21st of this month, as the country marks the second years of the deadly Easter attack.

The Police Media Spokesman further stated that a number of special religious programs are being carried out in several churches island wide to commemorate the victims of this series of attacks and the security has been provided accordingly.

The Police Media Spokesman further stated that all DIGs, SSPs, Divisional Superintendents of Police and other officers have been informed in this regard.

Meanwhile, making a controversial statement, Colombo Archbishop Cardinal Malcolm Ranjith said the Easter Sunday terror attacks were carried out not by extremists, but by a group trying to strengthen their political power.
