Mother And Two Children Who Sneaked Into Island From India On Boat Apprehended And Sent For Quarantine

A woman and two children, who had sneaked into the country from India, have been sent for quarantine by public health officials.

Health sources said they were hiding at a house at the Weppamadu area, in the Puttalam district. The woman, they said, was of Sri Lankan origin.

They had reportedly arrived on the island on a board while COVID19 had gripped India causing thousands of deaths.

Under the current circumstances, many countries have banned international arrivals from India until further notice.
