Justice Ministry Holds Opening Of New Office Premises For AG's Department When All Gatherings In Public Sector Are Banned

The Attorney General's Department held an event to mark the opening of its new state-of-the-art office premises when the Health Services Director General has banned all kinds of gatherings in the public sector.

The decision to ban all forms of gatherings was made due to the unexpected outbreak of COVID19 cases in the country.

The opening was held under the patronage of Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa and many dignitaries, including Justice Minister Ali Sabry and Attorney General Dappula de Livera attended the event.

The new office premises of the Attorney General's Department was built at a cost of Rs. 1480 million, the 12-storey building is equipped with modern facilities including an auditorium, a restaurant and a car park.
