Islandwide Travel Restrictions End At 4 AM Today: Public Required To Follow NIC Last Digit System For Non-Essential Travel From Today Onwards

The islandwide travel restrictions, which prevailed over the long weekend, came to an end at 4 AM today.

All those leaving home for non-essential work strictly are now required to follow the NIC last digit system of Odd and Even dates, as announced by the police last Wednesday.

Travel restrictions will be imposed daily from 11 PM to 4 AM till May 31.

Bars and pubs will remain closed while all forms of gatherings in the public and private sector are strictly prohibited due to the current situation in the country.

Offices have been asked to make provisions for employees for remote working and work from home.
