The All Ceylon Makkal Congress has suspended the membership of Anuradhapura district MP Ishak Rahuman and Puttalam district MP Ali Sabri Rahim for voting in favour of the Port City Bil.

All opposition parties decided to vote against the bill and the two MPs voted in favour of it violating the collective decision.

The ACMC is a party affiliated with the Samagi Jana Balawegya led by Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa.

A number of Muslim MPs in the opposition also voted in favour of the 20th Amendment to the Constitution violating the opposition's collective decision.
