Two religious places in Jaffna conducted massive gatherings despite the rising number of COVID19 cases in the area.

As a result, health officials have decided to isolate the two religious places in Point Pedro for two weeks.

Currently, nearly 2000 persons have been placed under self-quarantine in the area due to the rising number of cases.

Their decision to conduct large religious gatherings has come under severe criticism on social media.
