September 16, 2021
Multiple reports have surfaced online of Fonterra and MILCO products being sold through strange deals. Consumers from all over the country took to Twitter to complain they were being forced to either buy 3 or 4 other products from the Highland or Anchor brands in order to buy a packet of milk powder. Others complained that they were being asked to spent a minimum of between 3000 - 4000 rupees in order to get 1 packet of milk powder. Anchor is owned by Fonterra and state-run MILCO owns Highland products. Neither company has issued a statement yet.
