School Children's Transport Association Meet Finance Minister To Seek Grace Period To Repay Loan Instalments

The All Ceylon School Children's Transport Association is scheduled to meet Finance Minister Basil Rajapaksa today to raise awareness about the economic difficulties they have faced due to the closure of schools due to the Corona epidemic.

The president of the association, Malshree de Silva, said that he hoped to request a grace period to repay their loan installments.

The government has already announced that measures will be taken to reopen schools once the vacciation programme for school children is completed.

Vaccination of children over 12 years of age with chronic diseases and special needs commenced today at all major hospitals in the Western Province. Accordingly, the Faizer vaccine is being given in 13 hospitals.

Meanwhile, Army Commander said measures would be taken to reopen the country after October 01 in strict adherence to health guidelines.
