Number Of COVID19 Patients At ICUs Dropped By 50%: Health DG Asks For Greater Public Support To Manage COVID19

The number of COVID19 patients being treated in Intensive Care Units has dropped by 50%, said Director General of Health Services, Dr. Asela Gunawardena.

He noted, however, that further public support was needed to control the spread of corona.

He also said that the Corona Task Force meeting to be held tomorrow (15) under the patronage of the President will review the travel restrictions and the existing regulations.

The government will relax a number of restrictions on dining places and gatherings from tomorrow onwards.

The Director General of Health Services has stated that at present some people do not wear masks properly and if so, the pandemic could spread again.
