Health Authorities On High Alert For Delta Plus: Asks Public To Continue To Adhere To Health Guidelines

Health authorities in Sri Lanka have warned that a mutated version of the Delta variant, Delta Plus, could spread in Sri Lanka, even among vaccinated people, if proper precautions are not taken.

However, at this stage in is not clear if the virus, which is already spreading in the UK, New Zealand and Israel is highly transmissable.

Health authorties have called on the public to continue to adhere to health guidelines and to ensure their own safety as well as the safety of thise around them.

They say many, especially those vaccinated, have forgotten there is a virus and are living life in a fun manner without adhering to health precuations as they should.
