Internal Issues In Govt: President Requests All Ruling Party MPs To Discuss All Their Grievances Within The Govt.

President Gotabhaya Rajapaksa has requested government ministers and MPs to discuss and resolve issues within the government.

The President has made this request at a meeting of the ruling party group at the President's House

The President has also stated that it is not appropriate to go outside and criticize internal issues.

The President has stated that the Organic Fertilizer Cultivation Program has been endorsed by 69 million people and is part of the Prosperity Vision policy statement - which the SLPP presented to the public before the last presidential election.

Speaking at the meeting, Ports Minister Rohitha Abeygunawardena said that some people were in the government and could not approve of criticizing the government outside.

In response, Minister Vasudeva Nanayakkara said the criticism was not new to coalition governments. Nanayakkara has stated that he has seen such differences of opinion within governments since 1970.
