A human skull has been found in the Alupotha area on the Badalkumbura - Passara main road.

Police said that the skull was found in a deserted land near the 11 km post.

Police are investigating whether there is a connection between the body of a woman who was found in a suitcase in the Dam Street area in Colombo a few months ago and the human skull that was found in Badalkumbura.

The Police Media Division has stated that an investigation has been launched into the incident as the main suspect was a resident of Badalkumbura. The suspect in the murder, a police officer, committed suicide after writing a hand-written note.
