"Cabinet Ministers Don't Have To Read Each And Every Clause Of Yugadanavi Agreement": Johnston Fernando

Minister Johnston Fernando said there was no necessity to read the Yugadanavi agreement as it was prepared by the Treasury and cleared by the Attorney General's Department.

The agreement, which was not publicized by the government, was tabled in Parliament by JVP Leader Anura Kumara Dissanayake.

Commenting on the matter. Fernando said the Cabinet of ministers decided to approve the agreement based on the trust they had placed in those who negotiated it.

"We don't have to read each and every clause of the agreement," Fernando said.
