"We Won't Resign Over Yugadanavi Controversy: President Can Remove Us If He Wants To Do So": Gammanpila

Udaya Gammanpila, Minister of Energy says that if the President removes him from the post of Minister, he is ready to accept it and is aware that the President can remove him from the post of Minister at any time.

The Minister said that he had decided to reveal the truth about the Yugadanavi agreement to the court and the country knowing the risk and was well aware that the President could remove him from any of the ministerial posts at any time.

Gammanpila, speaking to a Sinhala daily, said the President was entitled to his opinion on the Yugadanavi deal and the three ministers who took a critical stance on the matter would stand their ground.

He said that if the three ministers, including himself, over this controversy it would be an admission that they had done something wrong.
