Namal Asks SLFP To Quit Government If Necessary Without Criticising Ruling Party's Policies

Sports Minister Namal Rajapaksa, one of the most influential Cabinet ministers in the current government, has asked the Sri Lanka Freedom Party to leave the ruling alliance if necessary without criticizing the government.

Speaking to the medida today, Rajapaksa said the SLFP and the UPFA should be responsible for every decision made by this government.

"As a government there is a collective responsibility. If the SLFP cannot agree with policies of the government, they can quit the ruling coalition honorably without criticising the rest of the government," Rajapaksa said.

The Sports Ministers remined that a number of SLFP MPs function as Cabinet and State Ministers in the current government.
