Journalist Chamuditha Samarawickrama's residence in Piliyandala has been attacked by an unidentified group wearing facemasks and carrying weapons during the early hours this morning.

Eyewitnesses say attackers entered the complex holding the security at gunpoint.

The group has opened fire and smashed the windows of the house.

However, no casualties have been reported as a result of the incident.
