Former parliamentarian Ranjan Ramanayake, who is serving a four year imprisonment, was brought to the Presidential Commission of Inquiry into political revenge by prison officials this morning (17) under special security.

Ramanayake was summoned the Commission to make a statement on an ongoing investigation.

The commission is investigating allegations of political retaliation during the previous government (2015-2019).

Raamnayake served as a ruling party MP and a state minister under the previous government.
