Janaka Ratnayake, Chairman of the Public Utilities Commission said that due to the loss of 541 MW to the national grid due to lack of fuel for power plants, the power supply to eight zones will be cut off for 3 hours today (22).

Janaka Ratnayake said that at the request of the Ceylon Electricity Board, power will be cut off for categories A, B and C from 4.30 pm to 10.30 pm for 2 hours and for other categories for 3 hours.
