Former Mrs. Sri Lanka Title Holder Pushpika De Silva Questioned By Police Over Attack On Journalist's House

Former Mrs. Sri Lanka title holder Pushpika de Silva has been summoned to the Piliyandala Police yesterday to record a statement on the attack on journalist Chamuditha Samarawickrema's house.

The Piliyandala Police OIC said that statements were recorded from her for nearly two and a half hours.

She was summoned to the police over incident of throwing stones and excrement at the house of journalist Chamuditha Samarawickrema last month.

Police stated that statements have been obtained from 37 persons so far.

According to the police, a few months before the attack on Chamudi's house, Pushpika de Silva had interviewed and recorded the contents of an interview with Chamudi Samarawickrema through a YouTube channel.

Pushpika de Silva had accompanied her lawyer Sarith Pathiratne to the Piliyandala Police.
