Vasudewa Says He Will Not Remain In A Govt. That Complies With IMF Conditions

Water Supply and Drainage Minister Vasudeva Nanayakkara said a short while ago that he would not work with a government that would comply with International Monetary Fund (IMF) conditions. Minister Vasudeva Nanayakkara said that he would decide in the future whether to stay in the government or not, adding that it would take only a minute for him to write his resignation letter. Minister Vasudeva Nanayakkara who stated that he is still the Minister of Water Supply and Drainage stated that he will not allow any increase in water tariffs until he assumes the post of Minister. This was stated by Minister Vasudeva Nanayakkara at a special media briefing held by the leaders of the 11 partner parties of the government.
