Tear Gas And Water Cannons Used On Protestors Gathered Near President's Mirihana Residence

Tear gas and water cannons have been used to disperse the protestors gathered near President Gotabhaya Rajapaksa's residence in Mirirhana.

Thousands of protestors gathered near Pengiriwatte Mawatha, the road leading to the President's residence against the rising cost of living and the economic crisis in the country.

Police barricades had been put up to prevent the protestors from reaching the President's residence.

President Gotabhaya Rajapaksa was not at his residence at the time the protest took place.
