SJB Nominates Rohini Kaviratne For Deputy Speaker Position: All Parties To Support SJB Nominee

The Samagi Jana Balawegaya has decided to nominate MP Rohini Kaviratne as the party’s candidate for the Deputy Speaker position.

The position has been left vacant following the resignation of Ranjith Siyambalapitiya.

It is reported that all parties in Parliament will support Kaviratne’s nomination.

Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe previously urged all parties to appoint a female MP as the unanimous choice of Parliament for the Deputy Leader’s position.
