SJB Leader and Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa responded to Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe’s invitation to join the government stating that the SJB had no such intention.

In a letter to the Prime Minister, Premadasa said the SJB, as a party, would work according to the views of the public.

Premadasa added that the demand from the public was a government without the Rajapaksas.

However, the Opposition Leader further stated that his party would support the “correct decisions” made by the government on behalf of the public.
