Former United National Party (UNP) MP Ravi Karunanayake yesterday made a low-key visit to Mannar. 

According to the Asian Mirror reporter in Mannar, Karunanayake had arrived at the Mannar public ground on a privately chartered helicopter and left in the same helicopter after a few hours. 

The usually media-friendly Karunanayake had however avoided the media gathered and left without giving any statement to them.  It is believed Karunanayake had visited the area on a private business matter.
