Cabinet gives nod to service extension for doctors scheduled to retire

Cabinet Media Spokesperson Minister Bandula Gunawardena said that the cabinet has approved the extension of the service period of doctors who have completed the age of retirement. Accordingly they will be given a service extension of one year. 

He also said that only doctors who have completed the age of 63 will be retired from December 31. He mentioned that the service period of those who have completed the age of 62 will be extended by another year and they will be compulsorily made to retire at the age of 63.
