GMOA opposes Government’s new Tax reforms

The Government Medical Officers Association says the new tax reforms will lead to professionals leaving the country. The association said, doctors and other professionals have already started migrating due to the ongoing economic and social crisis, and the new tax reforms will only lead to its increase.

The GMOA says the new taxes will impact the country long-term. Rs. 100 000 being named as the minimum tax threshold is not unfair given the current circumstances, the association said.
