One Sri Lankan youth confirmed dead in Korean Halloween stampede

A 27-year-old Sri Lankan is confirmed to have died in the Halloween event stampede in South Korea. The victim is a resident of Kandy and had been living in South Korea under a G-1 visa. At least 19 foreigners were confirmed killed including US citizens.

A mass of mostly young people celebrating Halloween in Seoul became trapped and crushed as the crowd surged into a narrow alley, killing at least 151 people and injuring 82 others in South Korea's worst disaster in years.
