PM wants no disruption to upcoming advanced level examinations

Prime Minister Dinesh Gaunwardane has instructed Governors to ensure the conducting of Advanced Level examinations in their areas without any issues or disruption. “You can't say the responsibility is with the exams commissioner general. You must be in touch with him and make the necessary arrangements,” he said.

“Do not allow anyone to disrupt examinations. Thousands of teachers have been deployed for examination duties. Hundreds of thousands of students will sit for it. If their exams are disrupted they will lose the opportunity to enter university. Do not contribute to that crime. If there is any issue report it to us,” the PM said.

The Prime Minister gave these instructions during a meeting with the relevant officials today.
