Disillusioned youth dies by suicide after failing Korean employment test

A youth from Akuressa has died by suicide after failing the Korean employment test by 5 marks. The 29-year-old youth identified as Kasun Anjana had written a suicide note in which he claimed he was taking his life as he has been unable to achieve his dreams and take care of his parents. In the letter, he said he had failed to find a suitable job for the purpose.

The mother had told police her son was upset about not being able to take care of his family and had claimed he plans to enter priesthood as a result. The mother had found him in his room the next day having taken his life. Akuressa Police are investigating.
