Court Order Issued Preventing Protesters From Entering President's House, President's Office And Finance Ministry

The Fort Magistrate issued an order this morning preventing the participants of the protest scheduled to be held in front of the Fort Railway Station this afternoon (04) from entering the Presidential Residence, the Presidential Secretariat, and the Ministry of Finance. The order was issued in response to the Fort Police B report regarding the related protest.

In addition to this, the Magistrate has also ordered the protestors to refrain from marching, entering government buildings, damaging government property, and obstructing the duties of government officials.

The Magistrate has instructed the police to read and hand over the relevant order in the presence of the four named respondents: Wasantha Samarasinghe, Bandula Saman Kumara, Ravi Kumudesh, and Udeni Dissanayake.

The Magistrate has also cautioned that if they act in an illegal manner, they will be held accountable according to the law.
