Airport and Aviation Services (Sri Lanka) (Private) Limited has announced new measures to improve vehicle management at Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA). Effective immediately, vehicles without drivers are prohibited from parking outside the arrival terminal.

Vehicles picking up passengers must wait in the designated car park and can only proceed to the terminal at the scheduled pickup time.

To further alleviate traffic congestion, vehicles parked for more than 30 minutes, even with a driver, will incur additional charges. Main objective of these changes to reduce the presence of unauthorized vehicles and individuals at the airport premises.
