The Tamil film Kaththii has been caught in a political trouble again.
Media reports say that the former Paattali Makkal Katchi (PMK) Member of Legislative Assembly and ‘Tamizhar Vaazhvurimai Katchi’ leader, Panruti T. Velmurugan, took exception on Sunday to attempts to get the movie starring Vijay released, despite pro-Tamil groups opposing the film.
Opponents say it was produced by a production company which is allegedly close to Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapaksa.
“Our party will discuss this issue in Chennai on Monday and decide on the next course of action,” he said in a statement in Chennai.
