Sabaragamuwa University, which has been closed for more than three weeks due to student protests, is to re-open for the first year students on next Monday (27).
Meanwhile, the university will be opened for other students on the 3rd of November.
First year students in who are in hostels should come to the hostels on October 26 between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. Meanwhile other students are requested to be at hostels on November 2 between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m.
Higher Education authorities decided to close the University indefinitely on October 5 as a tense situation prevailed after students protested a visit by the Minister of Higher Education S.B. Dissanayake to the university for the opening of a new hostel.
