Alluding to the study tour by Opposition Leader Ranil Wickeremesinghe to the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in the United States, President Mahinda Rajapaksa said one does not have to go to Harvard University to learn how to topple the government.
"Come to Medamulana and I will teach you how to do it," the President said.
President Rajapaksa made this remark after the launch of the annual report 2013 of the Central Bank of Sri Lanka. Central Bank Governor Ajith Nivaad Cabraal, Treasury Secretary P.B. Jayasundara and senior officials of the Ministry of Finance and Planning were also present at the event.
While commenting on the economic growth of the country, the President said Sri Lanka now has a business community who invests in other countries while adding that the Free Trade Agreement with China, the biggest development in Sino-Lanka cooperation history since the 1952 Rubber-Rice Pact, will be signed soon.
